Hi, I’m Faith Johnson—founder and creative director of Faith Unshackled.

I am a visionary leader, producer, writer, and creative educator with a deep passion for faith-centered storytelling and artistic development. My work lives at the intersection of ministry, creativity, and education, where I help individuals discover their voice, strengthen their confidence, and walk boldly in purpose. Faith Unshackled is an extension of who I am—rooted in faith, shaped by experience, and driven by a calling to create spaces where people feel seen, equipped, and free to grow.
My Story
My journey in the performing arts began early, at just six years old. From that time on, creativity became both a language and a lifeline for me. Music, theater, and storytelling have always been how I process the world, express faith, and connect with others.

For more than 20 years, I have lived and served in my community as a creative, singer, playwright, director, and arts advocate. Over the years, I have written and directed more than a dozen original theatrical productions, intentionally creating spaces where artists of all ages and backgrounds could grow, collaborate, and be seen. Each year, I develop and lead multiple original performances that blend dramatic storytelling, music, visual design, and cultural reflection.

At the heart of everything I create is a deep belief that the performing arts are a powerful tool for healing, empowerment, and unity. Whether addressing personal growth, faith journeys, or intergenerational experiences, my storytelling is designed to uplift, connect, and inspire communities through authentic expression.

Faith Unshackled was born from this lifelong work and vision. It is both a community-based theater initiative and my creative business—created to expand access to meaningful artistic opportunities and to share original works on a larger scale. Through Faith Unshackled, I am launching original productions, offering custom scripts and compositions, and developing merchandise and inspirational content through this online platform.

What began as a personal calling has evolved into a mission-driven brand—one that exists to remove creative barriers, nurture excellence, and help individuals and communities step boldly into purpose, unshackled.
